Pillar is a culture magazine made in Seattle, in print and digital, with the diaspora as our center of gravity. It began as a conversation between the founders of Kanea.tv on a company retreat, and grew into a simple vision: niche stories that reveal how much more alike we are than we are different.
Culture doesn't travel in straight lines. It slips through borders, through generations, through the pockets of people carrying something forward. Pillar documents that movement in a numbered print book, published once a year, with digital stories between editions.
